About Tallinn and Estonia

The official travel guide to Estonia – Visit Estonia.
The official travel guide to Tallinn – Visit Tallinn.

Estonia is located between Scandinavia, central Europe, and Russia, therefore there are multiple ways to travel over to Estonia across the land, water, and air. There are regular ferries running between Tallinn, Helsinki, and Stockholm, and landing in Tallinn Airport places you right in the middle of the city. For more detailed travel information, check Visit Estonia‘s website.

Due to construction works in Tallinn the tram lines are temporarily rearranged.
Arriving by plane, the easiest (and most environmentally friendly) way to get to town is by bus (line 15, direction: Estonia). The stop is located right next to the airport and the bus will take you directly to the city centre. The Estonia bus stop is a short walk from Nordic Hotel Forum (hotel and TMW info centre), and you can change means of transport there to get to Telliskivi Creative City (tram line 6 or bus lines 2 and 3 will take you very close to the TMW venues). Alternatively you can take a scenic 25-minute walk through the Old Town.

You can also take bus No 2 (the stop is a couple of minutes from the airport) or a taxi (but make sure to check the price first – you should not have to pay over 10 euros to get to the city centre!).

There is also buses from the Tallinn Bus Station (Tallinna Bussijaam) to the city centre: lines 17, 17A, 23 and 54.

If you come by ferry, take a taxi or bus No 2 (a line between the port and the airport), or simply walk to the city centre, since it is not far away. You can call Tallink Taxi (+ 372 640 8921) or use taxi/ride sharing apps such as Bolt, Forus and Uber.

Use Tallinn’s public transport travel planner.
