Anna Bassy is an Italian-Nigerian singer-songwriter, born and raised in Verona. She wrote her first unreleased tracks in 2016, originally conceived to be performed only with voice and guitar. In 2019 the project transformed into a full band that gave new life to the arrangements, making them more intense and sophisticated without losing their delicacy. It can be described as electronic soul-pop with African roots.
To date, she has given over 80 concerts, performing in Germany at the Reeperbahn Festival, in France at the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris and at the last edition of The Great Escape Festival in the UK. . Her debut EP Monsters was released in 2021, and in the following year she was one of the three Italian artists selected to take part in the international gender parity programme Keychange. Her second EP Genesi was released in 2023.
