DJ Type 1 is an emerging prodigy, serving up beats as a DJ, producer and co-founder of Tartu's sizzling monthly club sensation "puhas kräu". His musical odyssey began in 7th grade when he experimented with FL Studio, crafting trap beats inspired by rappers like Travis Scott and production maestros like Metro Boomin and Nick Mira. Evolving over the years, DJ Type 1 delved into electronic dance music, spurred on by influences such as jungle and UK garage introduced by his brother, while maintaining his trap and rap roots. Today, his sonic landscape encompasses techno, house, electro and breaks, infused with gritty basslines and nostalgic nods to the 80s and 90s. While his discography currently consists of just three tracks, he is in the process of curating an EP that will hopefully see the light of day in the near future. As a DJ, he doesn't like to be pigeonholed into any particular genre or vibe. Depending on his mood, his sets range from dark and grungy to atmospheric, techno to baile funk, electro to jungle and more.
