Estonian Bagpipe Ensemble TUUL EE

In the old days, playing an instrument was the domain of men. Even today it is not often that young women play together on the bagpipes. The Estonian bagpipe ensemble TUUL was founded in 2023 by six talented musicians: Katariin Raska, Mari Meentalo, Kaisa Kuslapuu, Kerli Kislõi, Helery Kõrvemaa and Kadi Maria Vooglaid. What makes the ensemble even more special is that in addition to traditional music, they also perform contemporary pieces specially composed for Estonian bagpipes, searching for fresh sounds and inventing new techniques.
