Symbio is regarded as one of the most prominent new bands from the Swedish folk & global music scene. The duo has become a phenomenon on the progressive folk music scene with their strong stage presence, original compositions, and a magical interplay of hurdy-gurdy and accordion. Symbio has been described as musical storytelling where virtuoso folk, electronic dance music and minimalistic art meet and become a cinematic experience. Since 2011, the duo has toured intensively in Scandinavia, Europe, the US and Canada. They were awarded the Best Newcomer of the Year at the Swedish Folk & World Music Awards in 2016 and represented Sweden as official showcase artists at The Folk Alliance International 2020 (US), Nordic Folk Alliance 2022 (SE) and the Mundial Montréal Conference 2022 (CA). Their new album Endeavour is a sound painting where heartfelt melodies, dreamy soundscapes and hypnotic beats depict life-affirming themes.
