Jacob Froberg has been the head of the Arctic Sounds since 2012. Arctic Sounds is an annual 8-10-day music festival in Sisimiut, Greenland that takes place during Easter, showcasing new and original music from the Nordic and Arctic countries, and a vast range of co-creation, collaboration and networking activities. The festival has also branched out to include visual arts and film in the programming. Jacob has a university degree in musicology. He has worked as a musician, record producer and talent development specialist in Denmark before moving to Greenland in 2006. In addition to his work at Arctic Sounds, he is also the head of the music school Serravik and a member of the advisory board that works to establish new nationwide music education in Greenland.
