
Marcus Ross began his journey as a musician and songwriter,, before entering the world of marketing as a media strategist for Melbourne-based creative agency Cummins & Partners, specialising in branded events, campaign strategy and client relationship management. In 2014, Ross co-launched the Melbourne division of US streaming giant, Pandora Music. In 2017, he was promoted to Music Industry Relations Manager. From 2018 to 2022, Ross held key roles including Brand Partnership Lead for BMG Australia and Country Manager for PlayNetwork, where he worked with Apple Music to build Apple Music for Business across Australia, New Zealand and APAC markets.
Currently, Ross is the Senior Licensing & Partnerships Manager for FUGA, the world's leading B2B music distributor, FUGA (a division of Downtown Music).overseeing licensing and partnerships for the company's 90260+ global DSP partners. Ross' deep understanding of the growing need to reach niche global audiences helps FUGA's nearly 1000 clients maximise their catalogues and content. Ross sits on the Global Music Industry Advisory Board for the London-based non-profit organisation, In Place of War, and has lent his voice to several global conferences.
