Having been described as a deranged crooner who seems to have stepped out of the Twin Peaks Roadhouse Club, Johnny Labelle's dark, introspective and romantic world is influenced by a wide range of musical styles, from dream and ambient pop to post-punk and 50s love ballads. His new and third album May Your Dreams Come True (2023), released on Inner Ear, is an introspective journey that explores themes of isolation, uncertainty and the gap between dreams and reality. Written in the midst of a tumultuous time, the songs reflect the despair and questioning of the future that has become all too familiar in recent years, but also serve as a beacon of hope, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is hope. Labelle has performed across Europe, sharing bills with the likes of Sean Nicholas Savage, Mega Bog, Jaakko Eino Kalevi and Discovery Zone, and has taken part in showcases such as ESNS, MIL Lisbon and Monkey Week.
