UTO are a Parisian duo who sound as if they have come from outer space. Chic and alien, rhythmic yet translucent and ghostly, they are a group that thrives on contrast and embraces paradox. Variously described as witch-pop, dream-pop and trip-hop, they mine a rich seam of 90s British music from the periphery, with an added je ne sais quoi. Their debut album, Touch The Lock, is the first time they have presented their unique vision to the world. It's an album grounded in reality that communes with hyper-reality, unlocking the box where hard-to-reach emotions and thoughts often lie dormant and untapped.
