AbusesLV
Abuses emerged out of an apocalyptic state born from boredom, sound making, and a heavy diet of J.G. Ballard and Philip K. Dick. Their music reflects a world of rising swamps, burning suns, and lost poetic hallucinations wandering through empty streets. Their sound fuses post-punk and noise with thick bass lines and smeary guitars. While their shows pulse with danceable rhythms, they prefer their audience to stand transfixed - letting anxiety transform into tinnitus. As Jo Claverie of Siniestro's notes: "Beautiful melodic post-punk loaded with nuances and with an excellent production.”
