Alonette charms with tenderness, letting her confessional songs and odes to day-to-day existentialism flow out of her with an ease akin to a child's fantasy play. The alter ego of the Estonian singer Anett Tamm, Alonette stirs up heartfelt folk-pop with a nostalgic nod to the '70s. Nevertheless, her music doesn't shy away from modern experimentation, creating songs full of unexpected twists, turns, and bittersweet sentimentality. Her band, a line-up of some of Estonia's most sought-after instrumentalists, enriches and completes Alonette's whimsical ambience. In March 2025, Alonette released her 10-track debut album Compass, praised for its maturity, rich sonority, and the ability to balance vulnerability with wit. On stage, Alonette has captivated audiences at Reeperbahn Festival, BUSH in Budapest, Riga Music Week, and Estonia's Jazzkaar and Tallinn Music Week, amongst others, marking her as one of Estonia's most intriguing new voices.
