Cätlin Mägi & EstPipes is a unique ensemble consisting of seven female pipers who skillfully play Eesti torupill (Estonian Bagpipes), creating an atmosphere that resonates with contemporary audiences.
In addition to featuring traditional bagpipe tunes in their repertoire, there is also the sound of a woman’s voice performing traditional songs, and the Jew’s Harps and whistles are also played.
Cätlin Mägi & EstPipes came together in 2022 in Viljandi Cultural Academy and for today, they have had concerts in Estonia. Additionally, the ensemble has recorded an album set to be released in the fall of 2024.
