Katarsis is a Lithuanian alternative experimental rock band that made its debut with the single "Vasara galvoj minoras". Since then, Katarsis has rapidly evolved, experimenting with diverse sounds that blend alternative rock, post-punk, and indie. Each composition reflects emotional journeys through pain, longing, and personal liberation, culminating in what they themselves call katarsis: an inner release and renewal. In 2024, the band released their debut EP Dausos. In 2025, Katarsis represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Tavo akys", securing 16th place in the Grand Final. This marked an important milestone in the band's career, opening doors to international audiences. Following their successful European tour in 2025, Katarsis continues to build momentum internationally whilst working on new material for 2026.
