Estonian flute duo Kuula Hetke (Kärt Pihlap & Katariina Tirmaste) creates elemental, improvisatory music inspired by the melodies and motives of their ancestors’ birthplaces. Kuula Hetke (word for word Listen to the Moment) captures the sentiment in those deceptively effortless melodies, flowing with ethereal seamlessness. Combining two flutes, voices and electronics, Kuula Hetke’s transportive music possesses a unique storytelling artistry that draws listeners within and takes on different meanings for each individual.
