Folktronica, Electronic, Hip-Hop/Rap
ObaduHU
Obadu (Ákos Vértes) is a Hungarian folktronica producer who blends the spirit of Hungarian and Romanian folk traditions with contemporary electronic rhythms. The kaval, shepherd's flute, and transverse flute play a central role, interwoven with drum rhythms inspired by hip-hop and Latin American music. In doing so, he breaks down borders between genres and builds an atmosphere that feels both grounded and transcendent. This colourful, genre-blending style makes his music instantly recognisable, building a bridge between tradition, the present, and the future, and inviting its audience on a timeless journey. He composed this year's Ozora Festival Opening Ceremony music and has performed as an opening act for Subcarpați in Budapest, one of Eastern Europe's most influential fusion collectives. He is also part of the Hungarian artist collective called ETHNOTECH.
