Orkester Põhjakõla, Põhjakõla projektkoorEE
Põhjakõla Orchestra unites students and alumni of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with freelance musicians. Committed to contemporary music, they commission and premiere a new work at every concert, having already debuted pieces by Tauno Aints, Pille-Riin Tipp, and Kristo Klaus.
Founded in 2023 by artistic directors and conductors Lisanna Laansalu and Sara Corriga, the orchestra focuses on Estonian and international works from the 20th and 21st centuries.
For Tallinn Music Week, they've expanded their artistic vision by forming a special project choir to create a unique musical experience. The project choir consists of singers from Estonia’s leading choirs: Chamber Choir Voces Tallinn and The Estonian National Opera Young Men’s Choir, as well as experienced individual singers.
