RavggonFI

Ravggon, a band rooted in Vuohčču and Oulu, performs rock music in Northern Sámi. Following their debut album, they have toured throughout Sápmi, Finland, the Baltic Countries, and Canada. In 2015, they claimed third place at the Sámi Grand Prix singing competition in Guovdageaidnu, Norway, with their song "Máska." Their new album Gapmu (meaning "instinct" or "hunch"), produced by Guhtur Niillas Rita Duomis, was released in 2024. The band has evolved from their earlier acoustic folk-pop sound toward a heavier, rougher, and more progressive direction. The compositions explore hazy memories and anxieties about nature's future, reflecting on a world where nothing seems to be enough.
