The Baltic Sisters, an international traditional music ensemble, was formed in late 2022 at WOMEX (Worldwide Music Expo) in Lisbon, when singers from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania joined forces. While their initial focus was on sutartinės – ancient Lithuanian multipart songs – they have since expanded their repertoire to include traditional music from Estonia and Latvia. The group presents Latvian, Lithuanian, and Estonian folk songs both individually and in innovative combinations, creating a distinctive sound that bridges these Baltic musical traditions. Their debut album will be released in the beginning of 2025 on the German label CPL-Music. The ensemble has performed at several prestigious events, including the Viljandi Folk Music Festival (Estonia), Buskers festival de Neuchâtel (Switzerland), and Valmiermuiža Ethno Music Festival (Latvia), as well as Lithuania's major ethno music festival Mėnuo Juodaragis.
