First wave of speakers revealed for the Tallinn Music Week conference

European promoter of Rammstein and the founder of MCT Agentur Scumeck Sabottka, Twin Peaks soundtrack engineer Haydn Bendall, Managing Director of ESNS Anna van Nunen, Artistic Director of Wavelength Music Jonathan Bunce, Live Nation promoter for the Baltics Eva Palm and Britt Randma, manager of Music Moves Europe Award-winning Night Tapes are revealed among the first speakers for the Tallinn Music Week (TMW) conference.

Now in its 17th edition, TMW stands as one of Europe’s premier music industry gatherings, bringing to Tallinn about 1,300 industry professionals and delegations from around the globe.

The first wave of 16 world-class speakers for the TMW conference promises to deliver compelling interviews and deep-dive industry insights.

Scumeck Sabottka is an icon in the live music industry and co-founder of Berlin’s MCT Agentur. As Rammstein’s pan-European promoter and former Kraftwerk touring coordinator, his company’s client roster reads like a who’s who of music, featuring artists like Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Rammstein, Tom Waits, New Order, Björk, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blur, among many others. Sabottka will share insights from his stellar career and recent game-changing deal with global music and entertainment giant AEG Presents, operating across five continents. The agreement expands the reach of both companies, forging a strategic alignment in Germany and beyond.

Grammy-winning sound engineer, producer and mixer Haydn Bendall brings to Tallinn a wealth of experience from his Chief Engineer’s days at legendary Abbey Road Studios where he has worked with such icons as Paul McCartney, and Kate Bush. Haydn’s contributions to film music include Ryuichi Sakamoto’s The Last Emperor, and he engineered the soundtracks for Terry Gilliam’s Brazil, and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks.

Anna van Nunen is the Managing Director of ESNS, Europe’s leading platform for emerging music talent. She has also revolutionised festival innovation through Innofest, creating real-world testing grounds for groundbreaking ideas in response to climate change.

Jonathan Bunce aka Jonny Dovercourt brings his unique perspective as author and co-founder of Wavelength Music. His book “Any Night of the Week: A DIY History of Toronto 1957-2001” has evolved into a multimedia exploration of music history.

Eva Palm, head promoter for the Baltic region at Live Nation Entertainment, is responsible for organising the largest outdoor events in the Baltics, producing shows for major acts including Madonna, Guns N’ Roses,  Metallica, The Weeknd, Imagine Dragons, and Justin Timberlake. With over 25 years in the entertainment industry, Eva has developed a unique perspective on building and leading a successful company.

Britt Randma is the marketing head at Music Estonia, a spirited events promoter & DJ and the manager of the rising dream-pop band Night Tapes—recent Music Moves Europe Award winners.

The other announced speakers are CEO of FAAR Music Kertu Mägar, Estonian folk renovator Mari Kalkun, Innovation and Business Development Executive at Music Finland Turo Pekari, CEO and Artistic Director of In Place of War Ruth Daniels, Programme Director of the World Music Festival in Taiwan Peiti Huang, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology, University of Lodz Patryk Galuszka, Executive Board member of IMPALA Kees van Weijen, Senior Associate at LvlUp Ventures Colette Tibbets, and CEO of Buzz Elise Hessevik.

TMW 2025 runs from 3-6 April in Tallinn, with the conference at Nordic Hotel Forum from 4-5 April and showcase festival across the city’s various venues from 3-5 April.

TMW 2025 passes are on sale at the TMW webshop for the best price until 31 January.

PRO Pass for €195 (end price €250) provides access to the TMW conference and DigiPRO platform as well as priority access to the music festival.

The TMW PRO programme offers inspiration, practical activities and networking options to about 1,300 international music industry professionals, artists, entrepreneurs and policymakers.

Festival Pass that grants access to all the music festival events is available for the best price of €65 (end price €85).

Tallinn Music Week (TMW) is one of the most acclaimed new music and city culture festivals and key networking events for music and creative industry professionals across Europe, held annually in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn since 2009.
