Music Moves Europe Dialogue Session 6 at Music Week Poland

Where Europe’s music future meets today’s reality
The 6th dialogue on music, part of the Music Moves Europe structured dialogue, steered by the European Commission, will take place during the Music Week Poland showcase festival and conference on 26 June in Warsaw, as Poland holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The structured dialogue with the music sector, under the European Commission’s Music Moves Europe initiative, consists of 10 sessions hosted at music conferences across Europe between 2022 and 2026 to strengthen the exchange on EU-related matters within the music sector and with its professionals.
This dialogue session will explore the theme: “For a Sustainable Music Ecosystem in Europe: Global Exchange & Export – Opportunities and lasting partnerships”.

Tamara Kamińska, co-founder of Music Week Poland, President of Music Export Poland, declares:
“At Music Week Poland, we believe that music export should be more than just a strategy—it should be a cultural commitment. We see it as a reciprocal exchange rooted in solidarity, inclusion, and long-term sustainability. As we navigate the complexities of international mobility, funding inequities, and ecological responsibilities, we must design frameworks that uplift independent creators and dismantle barriers to fair collaboration. The 6th Music Moves Europe Dialogue is an invitation to co-create a more equitable and connected music ecosystem—one where talent and diversity flourish not in spite of, but thanks to, collective action across borders.”
Music Week Poland is a brand-new showcase festival and conference taking place in Warsaw from 26–29 June 2025. It will bring together artists, industry professionals, and media from across Europe, featuring performances from emerging acts and dialogue sessions focused on four key themes: business, technology, social impact, and legal affairs.
Georg Häusler, Director for Culture, Creativity and Sport in the European Commission (DG EAC), emphasises:
“Music export and international mobility are essential not only for the competitiveness of Europe’s music sector, but also for projecting EU values and cultural diversity globally.
Through initiatives like Music Moves Europe and our ongoing dialogue with the sector, the EU is committed to empowering the music sector to thrive globally and contribute to EU international cultural relations.”
