TMW 2025 fresh signature design revealed

The Tallinn Music Week 2025 signature design is created by Uku-Kristjan Küttis of AKU agency and Vello Lutter. TMW homepage is designed and developed by Raik Ilves.

While the TMW 2023 design was born out of the collaboration between human creativity and AI, and the keywords for 2024 were smart sustainability, then for the upcoming festival the design team  sought a visual key that was both uplifting and calming, looking for points of balance.

“The aim was to bring brightness rather than additional noise to the cityscape in early spring,” comments Vello Lutter. “We explored being present in oneself and in the moment and came to the conclusion that it should be something which texture and sense felt truly tangible and alive, reaching into the future, ‘unfinished’ and moving forward bravely, determined in its search of balance.”

The TMW 2025 design emerges from the layered contours of hand-carved sandstone, reminiscent of dunes and mountains, with ever-changing and interplaying textures and combinations. In vibrant pastel shades, these objects gently touch each other while maintaining their separate forms and identities. Constantly searching for balance and equity, the design also expresses the idea that in order to reach the shining peaks and transmit tomorrow’s talents and ideas across the globe, it is essential to nurture the entire landscape, allowing new cultural layers and art forms to emerge.
