BLACK MARACAS, founded by Dilly Child, has rapidly carved out a place on both the European and American music scenes in just four years. 2023 marked a breakthrough year for the Madrid-based trio, with standout performances at Mad Cool Festival (Madrid, Spain) and two tours across the USA and Mexico, including sets at Freakout Festival (Seattle, WA) and Levitation Festival (Austin, TX), where they shared the stage with acts like Levitation Room, Night Beats, The Dandy Warhols, The Black Angels, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. The band has released two studio albums: Prehistoric Ghost (2019) and Disturbing Sound (2022), the latter solidifying their reputation and earning them gigs alongside bands like Fuzz and La Femme. Black Maracas released two new albums in 2024. Their sound defies easy categorisation, as their live performances seamlessly traverse fuzz, blues, garage rock, and psychedelia.
