M4GNET Quartet: Arvo Pärt’s worksEE
M4GNET Quartet is a promising and forward-looking Estonian string quartet, praised for its ever-widening repertoire, spirited performances and passionate interplay. The ensemble consists of violinists Robert Traksmann and Katariina Maria Kits-Reimal, violist Mart Kuusma and cellist Siluan Hirvoja.
M4GNET Quartet seeks to perform venerable classical repertoire in tandem with forgotten works from the diverse and multifaceted string quartet heritage. The ensemble has participated in masterclasses of several outstanding figures in the realm of string quartet, such as Simone Gramaglia (Quartetto di Cremona), Marc Danel (Quatuor Danel) and Peter Jarůšek (Pavel Haas Quartet). In 2022 the ensemble was selected to join Le Dimore del Quartetto international network, which widens possibilities for attending masterclasses, giving concerts abroad and investing in international connections.
Their TMW performance pays homage to composer Arvo Pärt, who celebrates his 90th birthday this year, featuring both the maestro's work and music inspired by his legacy.
