Australian electric violinist, vocalist, and songwriter Xani, named Best Musician at the 2022 Music Victoria Awards, creates a distinctive sound that ventures into the spaces between rock, jazz, electronic, folk, and dance-pop. Her diverse musical background includes collaborations with artists like Jens Lekman, Paul Grabowsky, Andrea Keller, and Eddie Perfect, as well as performances with the Melbourne Theatre Company. As a solo artist, Xani pushes the boundaries of violin playing in contemporary music through improvised live sets that showcase her mastery of electronic effect pedals and live looping. Her performances are marked by instrumental ferocity, deep creativity, and pure joy, complemented by her earnest vocals. Selected to showcase at Classical:NEXT in Berlin in 2024, Xani has also appeared on ABC's Spicks and Specks and SBS's RocKwiz.
