Dasom BaekKR

Dasom Baek (백다솜) is a composer, improviser, and performer of traditional Korean instruments, primarily Daegeum and Sogeum. She creates contemporary and experimental music rooted in traditional performance practice, merging Korean timbres with electronic and modern sound exploration. Her work expands the expressive possibilities of Korean wind instruments, shaping bold and immersive sonic landscapes.

Active internationally, she has performed across Asia, Europe, and North America, appearing at festivals such as SXSW (US), Rewire (NL), Freespace Jazz Festival (HK), K-music Festival (UK), CINARS (CA), Imaterial Festival (PT), and Sinsal (ES).

Her discography includes the solo albums Nothingness (2020) and Mirror City (2023), along with several collaborative releases between 2021 and 2022. Through hybrid electro-acoustic performance and cross-genre experimentation, Baek continues to push the boundaries of traditional instruments within the global contemporary music scene.
