dustBunny (AKA Aster La Fontaine) is a Toronto-born, Montreal-based electronic musician, curator, event producer, and DJ. They began their journey in Glasgow in 2020, initially crafting a sweet, glittery, and somewhat naive sound inspired by soft comedowns, sunrises, and feelings of rebirth. Over time, their sound evolved into something darker, trading fragility for intensity. Today, their sonic palette is closer to ransom letters than love notes. dustBunny has built and moved through spaces like Dollhouse, an event series they co-founded in 2021 that grew from skatepark renegades to packed-out club nights. They've played alongside artists such as TDJ, Petal Supply, Umru, and Galen Tipton in cities around the world. On the summer solstice of 2024, they released their debut album, Halcyon, a culmination of the past two years of work and a demonstration of the breadth of their sound. The project was alongside a three-part outdoor event series, each held under the full moon that summer.
