Kelly BadoCA
Kelly Bado is redefining borders in music. Originally from Côte d'Ivoire and now based in Manitoba, her passion for preserving languages shapes her sound. With every note, she bridges generations, geographies, and genres.
Kelly made history as the first Black Francophone artist of African descent to sign with Odd Dolls Records, a women-led label from Manitoba. Her album Belles Âmes, released in May 2025, launched tours across Canada and Asia, and won Best Global Album at the 2025 Canadian Western Music Awards. Produced by Grammy-nominated Brian "Sweetwesty" West (Sia, Nelly Furtado, Maroon 5), the album blends African rhythms, soulful serenity, and pop flair.
She's shared stages with Alessia Cara, Walk Off the Earth, Serena Ryder, Lisa LeBlanc, and opened for five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo.
