Estonian artist Monknash performs hardware-driven live electronic sets built on powerful rhythms and dynamic atmospheres that carry a sense of release. Her signature instrument is the Roland TR-8S drum machine.

Her debut track Skalapendra was released on the Scottish label Still Distant Records as part of the compilation VA Dark To Black, and several new releases are forthcoming on UK and US labels. Primarily rooted in techno, Monknash moves between ambient and experimental noise, drawing influence from contemporary Middle Eastern sounds, reflected in her DJ sets and radio shows.
