SheebabaDE, LU

Sheebaba is an art-wave duo based between Cologne and Luxembourg, emerging from an art space and deeply rooted in the DIY scene. Founded in 2019, the project navigates the intersections of noise, wave, industrial glitch, and experimental pop, using sound as both a performative and conceptual medium.

The duo consists of Julien Hübsch, artist and musician, and Nina Bodry, filmmaker and musician. Coming from different artistic disciplines, they use Sheebaba as a shared laboratory for artistic research, emotional intensity, and experimentation. Their music merges distorted drum loops, fractured thoughts, and dense textures into a genre-bending sound they describe as art wave.

After several years of shaping their identity within underground and DIY contexts, 2024–2025 marked a decisive turning point. Through numerous showcases and live performances, Sheebaba entered the international circuit, performing at festivals such as Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg.
