Surgent is an Estonian progressive death metal band that incorporates modern groove and intricate technical elements into a heavy sound. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2022, earned the Estonian Music Award for Metal Album of the Year. Following its success, the group toured across the Baltics and Finland, supporting international acts such as Decapitated and Bloodred Hourglass.

The band is currently working on their second full-length album. With the lead single having debuted in early March 2026, the full record is scheduled for release in the second half of the year.
