Ceresian ValotFI

Ceresian Valot was founded in Jyväskylä, Finland, in 2020 by four members of the now-disbanded Finnish metal band Ghost Brigade: Tapio Vartiainen, Veli-Matti Suihkonen, Joni Vanhanen, and main songwriter Wille Naukkarinen, alongside bassist Ville Angervuori (Manifesto Jukebox, Deathbed) and lead vocalist Panu Perkiömäki (Seed Husk). In 2024, the band signed a multi-album deal with Prophecy Productions. Their debut album Uumen was released in 2025, gaining enthusiastic reviews and debuting at number 5 on the Official Finnish Physical Album Charts. Progressive Music Planet called it "a killer debut" and "one of the best releases of 2025 thus far". The band's sound has been described as melancholic alternative metal with cinematic atmosphere, influenced by progressive rock, post-metal, doom, and trip-hop. The vocals are sung in Finnish. Ceresian Valot operates with a strong DIY ethos, handling production, recording, mixing, mastering, and design themselves. The band is set to enter the studio in 2026 to record their sophomore album.
