Regina MändEE
Regina Mänd is a versatile folk musician and violinist from Estonia. Her artistry draws equal inspiration from the raw, authentic playing style of village fiddlers from centuries past and from the sparks that arise in genre-crossing collaborations and improvisation. She is also a member of groups such as reginamandness, Duo Mänd/Krüsban, and the LØYLY Orchestra.
In her new solo project, Regina is (re)discovering the violin heritage of her home region, Pärnumaa, drawing on rich archival materials as well as her own adventurous fieldwork. In collaboration with renowned film director Marta Pulk and sound engineer Marcus Ellervee, her live sets blend music, video, and storytelling that invite the listener to connect with tradition on an emotional level, journeying fluidly between past and present, memory and melody.
