Linnahall Tours
TMW visitors have a rare opportunity to step inside Tallinn’s legendary Linnahall – a monumental former concert venue usually closed to the public. This unique tour by the Estonian Centre for Architecture takes participants behind the scenes of one of Tallinn’s most iconic buildings.
Built for the 1980 Moscow Olympics regatta held in Tallinn, Linnahall was designed by Raine Karp together with Riina Altmäe and Ülo Sirp and stands as one of the most remarkable examples of Soviet-era architecture in Estonia. Over the years, many international stars have performed on its stage, and in 2020 the building gained global attention as a filming location for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, where it served as the Kyiv Opera House.
During the 90-minute guided tour, visitors will explore spaces normally closed to the public and hear stories about the building’s architecture, history, and cultural legacy.
Tours are led by professional guides from the Estonian Centre for Architecture.
