Forged in Vilnius, Lithuania, Griefgod channels old-school death metal DNA through a modern extreme metal lens.

Active since 2016 and operating as Griefgod since 2023, the band is highly active on the live circuit. In 2024, the group gained international recognition by representing Lithuania at the Wacken Metal Battle, performing at one of the world’s largest metal festivals, Wacken Open Air. Furthermore, in 2026, the band was nominated for Best Metal Band of the Year at M.A.M.A., Lithuania’s most prestigious annual music awards.

Griefgod has released the EP Torture, the debut full-length album Deterioration, and the latest single “Traitor’s Throne”, earning acclaim for keeping listeners engaged through thoughtful compositions while retaining simplicity and rawness in sound.
